Frontend Engineer
About the role
AlgoDomain's frontend engineers work on the client-facing and internal user interface layers of enterprise applications — dashboards, admin tools, workflow interfaces, and data visualisation surfaces for complex business operations. This isn't consumer product design work. The audiences are operations teams, analysts, and business users who need high-performance, reliable, accessible interfaces that handle complex data and complex workflows.
You'll work alongside backend engineers on the same engagement — designing API contracts together, integrating with real backend systems, and solving the problems that come up when a frontend needs to present complex real-world data reliably.
What you'll work on
- React or Angular single-page applications for enterprise contexts
- Data-heavy dashboard and reporting interfaces
- Complex form workflows with multi-step validation
- Component library work where clients have shared design systems
- Performance optimisation for large data sets in the browser
- Accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) on regulated platforms
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend application components to agreed standards
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and data contract definition
- Write component and integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Participate in design review and provide constructive feedback on UX decisions
- Ensure frontend code meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Optimise for performance: bundle size, render performance, network efficiency
Requirements
- 3–7 years of professional frontend development experience
- Strong proficiency in React or Angular (with genuine production experience)
- TypeScript — you should be comfortable with it, not treating it as optional
- CSS — ability to build responsive, precise layouts without heavy reliance on UI component libraries
- Understanding of web accessibility and experience building to WCAG standards
- Experience writing frontend tests (unit, component, integration)
- Familiarity with REST API integration and handling asynchronous data
Nice to have
- Experience with both React and Angular
- State management library experience (Redux, Zustand, NgRx)
- Data visualisation: D3.js, Recharts, or similar
- Experience on enterprise internal applications rather than consumer products
- Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS proficiency
How to apply
Email your CV and a brief note to careers@algodomain.com with subject "Application: Frontend Engineer".
Include a link to something you've built that demonstrates your frontend work — it doesn't need to be public, but a GitHub repo, a portfolio piece, or a description of a complex UI problem you solved is useful context. Process: intro call, technical discussion focused on a real-world frontend architecture problem, final conversation with a delivery lead.
