What we build

Software built for enterprise environments has different requirements from software built for startups. It needs to integrate with existing systems, comply with organisational security standards, perform reliably under load, and be maintainable by teams that weren't involved in its original construction.

Our software development practice focuses on Java and JVM-based backends, Node.js APIs and services, .NET applications, and the API layers that connect these to front-end surfaces and third-party systems.

Before a line of code is written, we model the system against the business requirements — data flows, service boundaries, failure modes, and operational characteristics. This surfaces design decisions when they're cheapest to make.

Embedded rather than handed-off

We work alongside your engineers rather than delivering code over the wall. Patterns and knowledge transfer are intentional parts of the engagement, not an afterthought.

Testability as a design constraint

We write testable code because it's better-designed code. Test coverage targets are agreed upfront. We use a layered approach — unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end — matched to the risk profile of each component.

Operational readiness built in

Structured logging, tracing, health endpoints, and graceful degradation are part of every service we deliver — not features added at the end of the sprint.

    Two-week delivery sprints with working software and test coverage at each cadence. Regular code review with your team throughout.

Yes — most of our engagements involve working alongside existing teams rather than replacing them. We can augment a team for a specific capability gap, run a parallel delivery stream, or provide senior engineering capacity for a complex piece of work while your team handles other priorities.
We offer time-and-materials engagements for evolving scope, fixed-scope fixed-price contracts for well-defined deliverables, and team augmentation arrangements. The right model depends on how well the requirements are understood at the start. We'll recommend the appropriate structure during scoping.
All code written during an engagement is your property on delivery. We don't retain licence rights to client-specific implementations. If we use internal frameworks or tooling during the build, we license those separately and clearly document any dependencies.
Our practical minimum is a 6-week engagement covering at least one engineer and a technical lead. Shorter technical advisory or architecture review work can be arranged separately. For team augmentation we typically work in three-month rolling contracts.
We include a defined stabilisation window in all delivery engagements. Ongoing maintenance or enhancement support can be arranged under a separate support agreement, though our preference is to transition ongoing work to your internal team with proper documentation.
